Hellbillies
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hellbillies are a Norwegian country rock group formed in 1990, and they are quite popular in Norway. As of 2005, they have released nine albums, and all of them have sold very well in Norway. Aslak Haugen is the lead figure in the group.
The lyrics are in the Norwegian “halling”-dialect, and they sing about contemporary Norwegian people and Norwegian life. They have also collaborated with musicians from the USA: Mr. Rob Hajacos from Nashville, who plays the violin on most Garth Brooks albums, also plays the violin on three of Hellbillies’ albums. He has also been to Norway twice in order to do live gigs and cut records together with Hellbillies.
