Hellacaust

Hellacaust is a black metal band located in the Maritime provinces of Canada.
[edit] Career
Hellacaust were formed from the ashes of Halifax noise extremists Agoretion. After jamming together for years and getting their act together for a Motörhead tribute show at a local club, the band decided to play a gig on Halloween for one night only. Their set would consist of cover songs of bands such as Sodom, Bathory, Slayer, Mayhem and War, among others. The success of the project drove them to begin writing material to eventually become a full time band.
After a few shows under their belts, Hellacaust released 2 demos in 2001, Implements of Mass Destruction and Premonitions of War. The demos leaked through the underground, causing the 'Implements...' demo to be re-released on [Skull Fucking Metal] records as a split with Toxic Holocaust.
At the end of 2001, recording began for Hellacaust's first full length CD, Dark Age Descending. Once released in late 2002, The Defileator (drums) left the band to soon be replaced in April of 2003. After some time writing, rehearsing and playing countless shows including opening slots for many reputable extreme bands, Hellacaust lands a deal with Quebec's Great White North Records. GWN will release Inevitable Demntia, the bands second full-length.
