Heighington, Lincolnshire

Heighington is a village, located 4 miles east of Lincoln. It has a population of about 3000.
The village has a post office, a primary school, an Anglican church and a Methodist chapel. Other amenities include two pubs, a mini-supermarket, two hairdressers and a pet store. Not so obvious, to the casual visitor, is the further forty businesses that are flourishing which include farm shops, taxi services and a repair garage. The village has two village halls used for both the educational and recreational needs of the population. Over twenty groups use the two halls each month. Other groups use the primary school, chapel and the Heritage Centre rooms.
