Heidesheim am Rhein

Heidesheim is a small town situated on the left bank of the river Rhine within the district (Kreis) Mainz-Bingen in the east of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The municipality divides into the two settlements Heidenfahrt and Uhlerborn. Together with the municipality Wackernheim it forms the Verbandsgemeinde Heidesheim.
As of 2003 Heidesheim has a population of 7,377, and covers and area of 17.56 km².
