Shouldn't "HL7" be a Redirect to "Health Level 7". It is currently backwards, IMO.

In the article, "HL7" appears to be a single organization and multiple organizations at the same time. This, and that fact that it is also a technical standard, make it difficult for the unfamiliar - like myself - to grasp what it is. If "HL7" has multiple meanings, that should be stated prior to giving the meanings. Can anyone more familiar with this suggest a change? Edwardian 15:38, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

HL7 is one organisation. Then there are several national user groups. Then there are the standards, or specifictions in HL7 lingo, namely HL7 2.2, HL7 2.3, HL7 2.3.1, HL7 2.4, HL7 2.5, HL7 3.0, CDA, and CCOW. --Pjacobi 15:50, 2005 Apr 21 (UTC)
National user groups are called "International Affiliates", which may include a paid Secretariat, similar to HL7 HQ in Ann Arbor.

[edit] How to obtain free copy of version 2

Your article references that versions prior to 3 can be obtained free of charge. Can you tell me where I could get a copy?

Thanks Rick
