Hearts That Hate

Hearts that Hate are a fictional band created by acclaimed hip-hop artist MC Lars. During Signing Emo MC Lars claims to sample them, under the pretense that they were a Story of the Year-meets-Yellowcard-type emo band who have supposedly short lived career with their hit song Cry Tonight. In 2005, Lars managed to trick a number of media outlets into believing the band was real.

Cry Tonight has been performed by Bowling for Soup whilst MC Lars supported them on tour. The Matches, Something with Numbers, and Army of Freshmen have all performed as the false band as well.
