Heart Lake Secondary School is a high-school in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the corner of Conestoga Drive and Wexford Road.
The International Business program is partnered with Southington High School in Connecticut, United States. The student run a registered Ontario import/export business. According to the Peel Board "Students will export Canadian goods to Southington students who will market and sell the items in Connecticut. In turn, Heart Lake students will import goods from the U.S. through Southington, and market and sell these items in Ontario."

Heart Lake was built in 1989 by contractor Bonfield Construction, at a cost of $12.8 million.

The school houses 1,658 full-time students as of June 2006, 303 of which are bused. The are 419 Year 1 students, 441 in Year 2, 439 in Year 3, 345 in Year 4, 4 in Year 5. The school currently is so far past its original capacity, that it has 11 portables.
Heart Lake has 124 permanent staff as of 2006. Heart Lake is also the only school in Brampton which has the enhanced learning program.
Heart Lake has a no smell policy in place, to prevent teachers and students from fainting. Suspensions are possible if you apply any perfumes/cologens at school.

The current principal of Heart Lake S.S is Sue Turner. The three vice principals are Patricia White, Julia D' Amico and Moveta Nanton.

- Ms. Spittles (for students whose last names begin in the range of A-D)
- Ms. Reynolds (for students whose last names begin in the range of E-Ll)
- Ms. Brennan (for students whose last names begin in the range of Lo-Red)

Guidance appointments are made by secretary Mrs. Greene in Student Services.

- Student Geoff Rohoman is a radio news anchor with News 1130 in Vancouver, and has worked as an anchor and reporter with The Fan 590 and AM640 Toronto.
- Students Bryan Gooderham & John Clewlow win National Inline Championship in Winnpeg (2006)
- Student Desmond Sargeant, is a major award-winning teen filmmaker.
- The 1994 Junior Men's Basketball Team were the Ontario Provincial Champions.
- The 1997 Senior Men's Basketball Team were Tier II Champions in the Region of Peel
- The 1996-1997 Reach For the Top Team went undefeated during the season and placed 1st in Peel Region.
- Students Simmi Sidhu and Tejinder Sahota, from the class of 1998, were the first recipients in school history of the University of Toronto Mentorship Scholarships awarded to top high school students.
- Dave Thomas, class of 1996, went on to play basketball with the Michigan State Spartans and helped lead the Spartans to two NCAA final four appearances. He is currently playing professional basketball overseas.
