Heart Ache is the first release by Jesu. Justin K. Broadrick wrote both tracks, played all of the instruments, mixed and produced the EP.
The title is often misspelled as Heartache (one word). The separation of the two words emphasises the ache, making the title seem less of a romantic reference to the feeling of heartache and more like an expression of pain, such as "flesh wound".
