Heald Green railway station serves the Stockport suburb of Heald Green, in the southern outskirts of Cheadle Hulme. This two-platform station is on the line between Manchester Picadilly and Manchester Airport. Services provided by Northern Rail and TransPennine Express trains are regular and often only call at Heald Green before arriving from Manchester Piccadilly. There is a small car park adjacent to the station.
Plans to create a new tram line from Manchester to the Manchester Airport railway station on the Manchester Metrolink network are currently on hold following Government decisions regarding the cost.
