Heald Green is a ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport. Heald Green is in the parliamentary constituency of Cheadle.

The area was formerly in the county of Cheshire, until 1974, and this is still in people's addresses.

Heald Green is centred around Finney Lane, where most of its shops are situated. It is at close proximity to Manchester International Airport, the third busiest airport in the UK.

Every year Heald Green has a new Rose Queen. For 2006 it is Dawn Piper.
