This album was quickly followed by the release of I Am Hollywood in November after the band signed on with Solid State Records. He is Legend's first music video "The Seduction" was released in early 2005. The band has its roots in Wilmington, NC where they previously played under the names of The Uriah Omen, No One Wins, and Stronghold. Early in 2006, the band broke up for a short time, but then got back together. The band released their second full length album entitled Suck Out the Poison on October 3, 2006.

[edit] Trivia

  • Schuylar is in the Project 86 music video "My Will Be A Dead Man"
  • The name of the band is derived from the vampire novel I Am Legend by author Richard Matheson.
  • Guitarist McKenzie Bell (one of the original five members) was kicked out of the band without explanation right before their Fall 2006 tour with Silverstein, Aiden, and It Dies Today.
  • Bell later rejoined the band. No hard feelings were had between the members.
  • Although not a "Christian band," He Is Legend is signed to Solid State Records, a Christian label. Lead singer Schuylar Croom has admitted to being Cristian but he said: "Just because we're on a cristian label doesn't mean we go to church together every sunday." (from and Alternative Press article)
  • Some songs on Suck out the Poison are sequels to songs off of I Am Hollywood. "China White II" is the sequel to "China White", while "Dixie Wolf (The Seduction of...)" is a sequel to "The Seduction". "Dixia Wolf (The Seduction of...)" contains the lyrics "I took the pictures that you ruined from my wall", referencing the lyrics on "The Seduction" saying "paint over pictures on the wall I can't believe she gave me alchohol".
  • Matt Williams is currently filling in on bass for Rock band Coheed And Cambria
