The Hazratbal Shrine is situated on the left bank of the Dal Lake in Srinagar. The Moi-e-Muqqadas (the sacred hair) of the Prophet Mohammad is believed to be preserved here. The shirne is known by many names including Hazrathbal , Assar-e-Sharief, madinat-us-Sani, and Dargah Sharief.
