Hazard is a fictional comic book character published by DC Comics. She was a member of the villainous group Injustice Society and is the daughter of the original Gambler.
[edit] Character history
Rebecca Sharpe is the granddaughter of Steven Sharpe III, the villain known as the Gambler. Late in the Gambler's life, he fell in love with the gambling in the Taj Mahal Casino. What the Gambler did not know was that the games in this casino were rigged. He soon lost all off his money. This final defeat coupled with all of the defeats he had suffered at the hands of costumed heroes was too much for Sharpe. Using his famous Derringer pistol, he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.
To avenge her grandfather, Rebecca became became the villainess Hazard and robbed the casino that stole her grandfather's money. She soon joined a new incarnation of the Injustice Society (renamed Injustice Unlimited), a group her grandfather once beloged to. The new group battled Infinity Inc. and the Global Guardians. (Infinity Inc. #34-36)
She later worked with the group again when the Harlequin orchestrated the murder of Skyman. Unlike the rest of her teammates, Hazard shows a reluctance to kill and allows Stripesy and his young son to escape the Dummy. (Infinity Inc. #51-53)
Hazard last appeared with several other villainesses who were hunting male superheroes who had been turned into animals by Circe. (Wonder Woman Vol. 2 #175)
Her cousin, Steven Sharpe V, has taken over their grandfather's mantle as the current Gambler.
