Haywoode Workman

Haywoode Wilvon Workman (born January 23, 1966 in Charlotte, North Carolina) is a former NBA player who played the point guard position at 6'2". His career spanned from 1990 to 2000. Workman attended college at Winston-Salem State University and Oral Roberts University and was selected in the second round of the 1989 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. After he lasted six games with the Hawks, he split the season with the Topeka Sizzlers of the CBA and Washington Bullets. Following that, Workman played in Italy with Scavolini Pesaro for two years and returned to the NBA in 1993, signing with the Indiana Pacers, where he became a starting point guard and an integral part of the Pacers' deep run into the 1993 Playoffs. Workman would remain in Indiana until 1997. After taking a year off from the NBA, Workman would finish off his career by playing his final two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors.
Workman is currently working towards becoming an NBA official.
