From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hayesfield School Technology College is a girls secondary school, with a co-educational sixth form, in Bath, England. The school has specialist Technology College and Foundation school status. The school has 1,200 pupils and operates on two major sites about half a mile apart, one for the lower school (years 7 to 9) and the other for the upper school. The sixth form operates in a separate large house near the upper school.

Hayesfield School was formed in 1973 when the City of Bath reorganised secondary education by merging grammar schools and secondary modern schools to form comprehensive schools. West Twerton Secondary Modern School and City of Bath Girl's Grammar School were merged to form Hayesfield School. The school was renamed Hayesfield School Technology College when it obtained Technology College status.
