I added some text about the history of the work and about the initial reaction to it. I also added the new picture because I really dislike Image:Havis Amanda 2002.jpg. It really doesn't do justice for the statue and the main focus is on the drunken students. I left it in because it represents the current acceptance of the work and hopefully someone will write something about the Vappu celebrations concerning Manta. --Laisak 17:27, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

  • I was surprised there was no mention of Mantan lakitus too. Maybe I'll write something myself, but I'm not terribly familiar with the tradition myself (I've never participated in it, at least). — JIP | Talk 19:11, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
