HAVELSAN, founded in 1982 by Turkish Airforce Foundation and Aydın Investment Inc. as HAVELSAN-AYDIN Aerospace Electronic Industry and Trade Inc. The Company, after the merger of Army and Airforce Foundations namely "Turkish Armed Forces Foundation" and separation from Aydın Investment Inc., activated as HAVELSAN Aerospace Electronic Industry and Trade Inc. Total 24.000 m2 of premises of HAVELSAN located on three separate buildings with 69.000 m2 property.
HAVELSAN's activities conducted under two main groups; INFORMATICS GROUP and AEROSPACE & DEFENCE GROUP. HAVELSAN is developing the command and control systems for national and international defence markets. These system applications are suitable to be modified according to the operational requirements and permit to use on different command levels. By transferring the acquired abilities on the defense (military) field to the civilian field, the responsibilities of HAVELSAN for eGovernment projects are increasing in Turkey.
