Hatfield is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,605 at the 2000 census.

Hatfield is located at (40.278086, -75.298794)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 2,605 people, 1,106 households, and 650 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,596.5/km² (4,102.7/mi²). There were 1,139 housing units at an average density of 698.0/km² (1,793.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough was 82.19% White, 1.77% African American, 0.31% Native American, 12.05% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 1.42% from other races, and 2.23% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.34% of the population.
There were 1,106 households out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.5% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.2% were non-families. 35.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.31 and the average family size was 3.03.
In the borough the population was spread out with 23.2% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 37.1% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 95.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.0 males.
The median income for a household in the borough was $45,975, and the median income for a family was $52,743. Males had a median income of $38,939 versus $30,775 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $21,133. About 4.2% of families and 5.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.5% of those under age 18 and 8.1% of those age 65 or over.

Hatfield has a city manager form of government with a mayor and a seven-member borough council. The mayor is Robert L. Kaler.
The borough is part of the Thirteenth Congressional District (represented by Rep. Allyson Schwartz), the 53rd State House District (represented by Rep. Robert Godshall) and the 12th State Senate District (represented by Sen. Stewart Greenleaf).
