Haslam is also a name used in some Muslim countries, presumably derived from the word Islam itself. It is not to be confused with the English surname, derived from Hazelham. In the context of the Muslim world, the name Haslam is far less frequent than Aslam. DFH 21:08, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
