That the Turkish government is building a dam for the purpose of destroying an ethnic group has no credibility, in particular for the GAP project which has been in planning for 40 years.

A similar site in the same area was Zeugma (look it up at Wikipedia), which actually came to the worlds attention because of a similar project. Following feeble campaigns and apparent lack of interest, some money was secured to save Roman era mosaics. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 155.63.64.21 (talk • contribs). diff

[edit] They try to destroy the history of the city

They are trying to make over 70 000 people homeless and destroy a city with thousands year of history behind..

But we all know what this is about like a Turkish Gendarm one time said To catch the fish you must dry up the sea —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Retau (talkcontribs). diff

It would be better if you could enlarge the article (which is marked as a stub) with facts instead of writing your own point of view in the talk page. And please show some relevant sources whenever you quote something that is supposedly told by someone else -- C6H12O6 10:05, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

What the heck are you talking about, habitants of the city do want this dam to be built since they will be paid great amount of money for compensation.--BlueEyedCat 05:09, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
