Hash'ak'gik
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hash'ak'gik is a video game character in the Legacy of Kain series of video games. Throughout the series, he has been voiced by many actors, including Rene Auberjonois, Tony Jay, Earl Boen, and Alastair Duncan.
Hash'ak'gik is a name used to refer to the supposed leader(s) of the Hylden race. Until the Pillars fell, the Hylden could not make themselves manifest in Nosgoth, but Hash'ak'gik was able to manipulate beings in Nosgoth by possessing them. Among those who were possessed were Mortanius and Janos Audron (when in these bodies, the respective voice actors provided Has'ak'gik's voice). In Blood Omen II, Hash'ak'gik was able to obtain his own Hylden body again and became the Sarafan Lord. In Legacy of Kain: Defiance, according to lead designer Amy Hennig, "When Raziel meets Turel, Turel is actually being possessed by a number of other Hylden (not the Hylden Lord). Many different Hylden did so in order to command their disciples." The Hylden Lord that posesses Janos Audron had recently been killed by Kain in the form of Mortanius, as seen in Blood Omen, which is concurrent with events in Legacy of Kain: Defiance. When Mortanius dies, Hash'ak'gik is able to posess Janos Audron.
