[edit] Biography
[edit] .hack//Roots
In .hack//Roots, Haseo is a newbie player to the video game known as "The World". He is an outcast in real life, and not very good at dealing with people. Upon logging into The World R:2, Haseo is attacked by PKs, (Player Killers), and rescued by Ovan, the Guild master of the Twilight Brigade.
Haseo then joins the Twilight Brigade in its quest to discover the Key of the Twilight. Eventually, the Twilight Brigade is disbanded and Shino is Data-Drained by Tri-Edge and .hack//Roots presumeably follows his transformation from Twilight Brigade member to a PKK (Player Killer Killer) known as The Terror of Death.
[edit] .hack//G.U.
Eight months after meeting Ovan in .hack//Roots and when his close friend, Shino, was Data Drained by Tri-Edge, Haseo has become a solo PKK known as The Terror of Death. Ovan gives Haseo the whereabouts of Tri-Edge in the cathedral at Grima Löwe(Also know as the Hulle Granz Cathedral in the English version of .Hack//G.U. vol.1//Rebirth), (Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground in the previous .hack games). Haseo faces Tri-Edge in a confrontation (fight) and is defeated easily before being Data Drained and losing consciousness.
He awakens with no armor and stripped of his levels, items, and dignity. He then agrees to assist Yata and Pi, two System Administrators in The World R:2, in their efforts to discover the reason behind recent attacks on players and a sudden increase in AIDA activity.
Haseo becomes an "Avatar" of Skeith by merging his character data with that of the well-known Phase, acquiring the ability to transform into Skeith and wield its abilities. The following video shows a fight between Avatar Skeith and Avatar Tarvos Video. The change can only be observed by others with similar abilities - normal PCs only notice that Haseo becomes many times more powerful. However, this power has its dangers, as we see when Haseo's bloodlust and power hungry character eventually cause him to lose control over Skeith's AI component when confronting Kuhn in a PvP match.
[edit] Other Appearances
In the preview of Keroro Gunso: Meromero Battle Royal Z, Keroro was transported to the .Hack//G.U. world and annoyed Haseo until he began attacking Keroro. After realizing he fell for a trick so Keroro could pull out the box of the game, Haseo spin kicked Keroro out of his world.
