Hartford railway station is in the village of Hartford. It is on the A559 road a couple of miles West of Northwich in Cheshire. The station offers trains to Winsford and Crewe to the South and to Runcorn and Liverpool to the North. The station is in a cutting with steps down from the free car park. There is a ramp for wheelchairs but it is very steep. The station is staffed. There are bus stops and a public phone box on the road. Opposite the station is The Coachman pub which offers meals and accommodation and a Chinese take-away. The main shopping area of Hartford is about half a mile away, about 15 minute's walk.

Greenbank railway station is a mile and a quarter away on the Mid-Cheshire Line from Chester to Manchester.
