Harry Simon (boxer)

Harry Simon (born October 21, 1972 in Walvis Bay, Namibia) was a professional boxer in the super welterweight (154 lb) division. As an amateur he represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

Simon turned pro in 1994 won the WBO Light Middleweight Title by defeating Winky Wright, and defended it against Hacine Cherifi and Armand Krajnc. Nicknamed "The Terminator" he is still undefeated, but was stripped of the belt for failing to defend and has not fought since beating Krajnc in 2002. Simon was involved in a car accident in late 2002, and was seriously injured. He was earlier involved in another car accident that saw two people killed.
