[edit] Military Career

General Wyatt entered the United States Air Force on June 24, 1971 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant on November 24, 1971. He graduated undergraduate pilot training from Laredo Air Force Base, Texas on January 26, 1973. During his time at Laredo, he logged over 3,000 hours of flight time in T-33, T-37, T-38, F-106, F-100, A7, F-16 and C-26 aircraft.

In August 1977, Gen Wyatt entered service into the Oklahoma Air National Guard, of which is currently a commissioned officer. During his tenure with the Guard, Wyatt has served as a fighter pilot, flight commander, vice wing commander, wing commander, and Chief of Staff of the Oklahoma National Guard.

Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry appointed then Brig. Gen. Wyatt to the position of Adjutant General of Oklahoma in 2003, raising him to the rank of Major General.
