Harry Fielding Reid

Harry Fielding Reid, (* May 18, 1859 in Baltimore, Maryland, † June 18, 1944 in Baltimore) was an American geologist.
Reid was educated at the Pennsylvania Military Academy (C.E., 1876) and at Johns Hopkins University (A.B., 1880; Ph.D., 1885).
He worked at several places in various positions of authority. He was a member of the faculties of Case School of Applied Science at Cleveland, Ohio, and of the University of Chicago.
He was chief of the highway division of the Maryland Geological Survey from 1898 to 1905 and a member of the United States Geological Survey after 1902.
He wrote in collaboration Highways of Maryland (1899), and he was a contributor to the New International Encyclopedia.
