Harry D. Jacobs High School is a public, four-year high school serving students in grades 9-12 in Algonquin, Carpentersville, Gilberts, and Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Its school colors are brown and gold. The school mascot is the Golden Eagle. The primary feeder middle schools are Algonquin Middle School, Westfield Middle School, and Dundee Middle School. Michael T. Bregy is currently in his third year as principal. The school has gone through a significant increase in student size during the past five years. Currently there are 2,263 students in grades 9-12. The school runs on the block schedule where students take four classes per quarter for 16 total classes per year. Each block is 90 minutes in length with the exception of lunch, which is 30 minutes long.
The school is part of the Community Unit School District 300.
