Harringay Arena

Harringay Arena, Officially the Harringay Boxing and Ice Skating Arena, opened in North London opened in 1936, was a venue for Boxing and Circus during the first half of the Twentieth Century. The Horse of the Year show was also held there for its first ten years, from 1947 onwards. Likewise, the wide appeal of the American evangelist Billy Graham was also on display at large interdenominal 'Crusade' held in the Arena from 1st March - 12th May 1954. It was the first of 23 'Crusades' and 'Missions' that he held in the UK between 1954 and 1991.
