Harold and Hans

Harold and Hans are two characters in the English language telenovela (soap opera), Fashion House. Harold is played by Garrett Swan and Hans is played by Tony Tripoli.

[edit] The best designers

Harold and Hans were top-notch designers for the House of Gianni, one of Los Angeles' premiere design houses. Both tended to be naturally friendly and kind to everyone, unless they, or someone they care about, were pushed the wrong way. They've worked for House of Gianni for many years, prior to the show's start.

The two men were the ones people turned to for help or for some solid advice. They were friendly to all, but were close friends to Michelle Randall Miller, whom they watched over like a mother hen; Lexi, Maria Gianni's Harvard-graduate, but extremely self-esteem lacking assistant; and Nikki Clark, Michelle's best friend.

Although, they served as designers, and confidantes, they have been pushed by John Cotter, the new Senior Designer, who had been riding them as well as Michelle hard, and constantly pulling rank on them.

In fact, it was a saddened Harold who had to tell a shocked Nikki that she had lost the Face of Gianni to her hated rival, Tania Ford, who told Nikki that she was no longer "Face of Gianni".

To make matters worse, Maria gleefully fired Nikki, supposedly for a "breach of her morals clause", but mainly was fired to stick it to her ex-fiance, William Chandler; his mother, Sophia Blakely; and anyone allied with them, including her son, Luke; Michelle, and Nikki.

Harold and Hans still remain at House of Gianni, despite the fact that they really missed Michelle and Lexi. They got into a fight with arrogant Tania, after she discovers that she (Maria) is the new Face of Gianni. She slapped Harold, and bit Hans on the wrist, and tried to destroy the shoot, but discovered that it was a set-up. This had Tania on the warpath; not that it mattered to either, because they didn't necessarily like Tania anyway.

Both still resented Maria for hiring John as senior designer, however, she finally fixed that. After she fired John, in a rare example of doing the right thing, promoted Harold and Hans as her new senior designers. So, they got their due at last. This job ended when Luke sold Gianni Fashion House.

Harold and Hans found vindication by returning Michelle's designs back to her after Maria's death, and selling the rest of the gowns on Ebay. They had always believed in Michelle and would always be in her corner, no matter where she was.

They then turned to Lexi Walker Designs for employment but were quickly denied by the newly self-empowered Lexi. They were threatened with removal by Lexi's security.

It truly saddened both to see Lexi, whom they had cared about, become worse than Maria. Harold stated it clearly when he said that Lexi was no Maria Gianni; and would never be Maria, because Maria, if anything, had talent; but Lexi was nowhere near as talented as either Maria, or even Michelle, for that matter.

Satisfied with that parting dig against their former friend, Harold and Hans walked out of Lexi Walker Designs, with their heads held high, and went back to work selling gowns over EBay.
