Harold Keke

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Harold Keke (born 1971??) is a Solomon Islands warlord.

In the late 1990s, with ethnic unrest developing in the Solomons, Keke came into the public light. He led a raid on a police armoury in 1998. He is believed to have killed a group of six Anglican missionaries from the Melanesian Brotherhood.

After the arrival of a multi-national intervention force in the country in 2003 he surrendered to Australian-led peacekeepers.[1]

On March 18, 2005 he received a life sentence for the murder of cabinet minister Father Augustine Geve in August 2002.
