Harold & Kumar Go to Amsterdam is the planned sequel to the 2004 Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, directed by Danny Leiner and written by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. Per its title, it will pick up where the first film ended, with Harold and Kumar following Harold's love interest Maria (played by Paula Garcés) on her trip to Amsterdam. John Cho and Kal Penn will return as the title duo. It is planned for release in 2007.
On October 30th, Comingsoon.net released an article saying that they were planning for a late January start date and that the plot will follow a cross-country adventure as Harold and Kumar try to outrun the authorities after being suspected as terrorists for trying to sneak a bong on a plane to Amsterdam[1].
