The Harley-Davidson Museum is currently under construction in the Menomonee River Valley neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 130,000 square foot space will contain a large collection of motorcycles and other Harley-Davidson memorabilia. It is projected to open in 2008.
Besides motorcycles, the museum will include the company's corporate archives, a restaurant, café, retail shop, and meeting space. The Harley-Davidson Inc. is paying an estimated $75 million for the museum's construction.
The museum is expected to be a boon to Milwaukee's economy, estimated at $37 million annually.
