From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Harleian Society was founded in 1869 for the purpose of publishing manuscripts of the heraldic visitations of the counties of England and Wales, and other unpublished manuscripts relating to genealogy, armory, and heraldry in its widest sense. Since its inception, the Harleian Society has published more than ninety volumes of parish registers, fifty four volumes of heraldic visitations, and seventy volumes drawn from other sources. The publications of the Society are available by subscription.
