Haripath

The Haripath is a collection of 28 abhangas (poems) composed by the thirteenth-century Maratha saint, Dnyaneshwar. It is recited by Varkaris daily.

  devaachiye dwaari ubhaa kshanabhari | tene mukti chaari saadhiyelyaa ||
  hari mukhe mhanaa hari mukhe mhanaa | punyaachi gananaa kona kari ||
  asoni sansaari jivhe vegu kari | vedashaastra ubhaari baahyaa sadaa ||
  dnyaanadeva mhane vyaasaachiye khune | dwaarakeche raane paandavaa ghari ||

  chahoo vedi jaana sahaa shaastri kaarana | atharaahi puraana harisi gaati ||
  manthuni navaneetaa taise ghe anantaa | vaayaa vyartha kathaa saandi maarga ||
  eka hari aatma jeeva shiva sama | vaaya tu durgami na ghaali mana ||
  dnyaanadeva paatha hari haa vaikuntha | bharalaa ghanadaata hari dise ||

  triguna asaara nirguna he saara | saaraasaara vichaara haripaatha ||
  saguna nirguna gunaanche aguna | harivina mana vyartha jaaya ||
  avyakta niraakaara naahi jyaa aakaara | jethoni charaachara tyaasi bhaje ||
  dnyaanadeva dhyaani raamakrishna mani | ananta janmaani punya hoya ||
