Hareid is a municipality in the county of Møre og Romsdal, Norway.
It is situated on the coast of Sunnmøre, on an island named Hareidlandet, which it shares with the municipality Ulstein and of which it is regarded by many as the capital.
Hareid is an important traffic-junction on Sunnmøre and is connected by ferry to Ålesund and Valderøy.
Many Polish and Latvian people live in Hareid.
It is the home of the hip-hop band "Hengebryst".
