Hardtwald

The Hardtwald (meaning Hardt forest in German) is a forest in south-western Germany and is located in the Rhine valley. It begins near Bruchsal in the north an ends at Rastatt in the south.
In the 17 century, the city Karlsruhe was founded in the Hardtwald, and in the 20 century the forest near Karlsruhe was cut.
Near the Hardtwald is the Black Forest, a famous mountain range in the south-west of Germany.
