Hard Candy is the fourth studio album by Counting Crows released in 2002 on Geffen Records.
The studio album got widely credited by its fans that once again said Counting Crows brought their sound back to their roots, referring to their first album "August and Everything After". Although once again the album sales were less than its previous, among the fans it was very well received. For a Pepsi commercial the song "American Girls" was used as a background track, some fans were not too happy about this and found the band guilty of selling out. The song "Holiday in Spain" was released as a duet with the Dutch band Bløf and became a number one hit. Since then they are very well known in the Netherlands.
