Harcharan Singh

Harcharan Singh is the first Sikh officer to be recruited in the Pakistan Army.

He is 19 years old and hails from Nankana Sahib, the birth place of Guru Nanak.He was commissioned into the army by the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on 17 April 2006 at Pakistan Military Academy at Kakul in North West Frontier Province (NWFP) .

Harcharan passed his matriculation from the Government Gurunank High School and passed his FSc (pre-engineering) in 2004.He then passed Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) examination in 2006 after failing once.
