Harb ibn Umayya was among the Sahaba's ancestors.

Harb means "war".

It is not confirmed if his father was Umayya ibn Abd Shams, thus making his name "Harb ibn Umayya", or if there was acutaly another person in the family tree by the name "Sarkh". If that is the case, then Harb's real name would be "Harb ibn Sarkh", and Sarkh's name would be "Sarkh ibn Uamyyah" [1]

He was the father of Abu Sufyan ibn Harb
