Haradin Bala

Haradin Bala (born 10 June 1957 in Gornja Koretica/Koroticë E Epërme, municipality of Glogovac/Gllogoc, Kosovo) is an Albanian farmer charged with crimes against humanity and of violations of the customs of war by the [International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia]. His trial started on the 15 November 2004 and is awaiting judgement.
He is accused of being a commander/prison guard at the Lapushnik prison camp between May and July 1998 and executing orders to kill a certain number of prisoners in Berisa Mountains on 25th of July 1998. The killings took place after the fall of Lapushnik as a result of the Serbian advances in Kosovo. He faces five counts of each of the aforementiond charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
