[edit] Kandoshin Shinkyotai
Professor Happy started the study of the martial arts/fighting arts or the so called budo or bu-jutsu by the orientals in 1962. In 1965 he earned the grade of black belt. At this period he had been studying various forms of martial arts and combat arts, and confirmed by international shorinryu kenshinkan karatedo and kobudo federation (Okinawa prefecture of Japan) in 1973.
In 1975 he founded Kandoshin Shinkyotai. It embodies man's search for truth and reality through combat and self-purification. Kandoshin means house of the way of truth.
Professor Happy studied and trained in Korean, Japanese, Chinese karate or martial arts system and also in the western form of combat education e.g wrestling, boxing and african fighting arts. Due to his wide knowledge of the combat education, in 1975, he created the form of combat science called Kandoshin which comprises all he learned so far and the open truth of the existing martial arts or fighting arts. The kandoshin was made known to the Nigerian public in 1986 officially - with its first demonstration at the Tafawa Balewa complex in Lagos. This form of combat education is now a household name in the Nigerian martial arts scene. The core of this combat science is taken from the following; karate, kobudo, taekwondo, kung-fu, jiujitsu, aikido, boxing, capoiera, savate, wrestling etc.
