[edit] Background
What can lower blood pressure, give you an instant facelift and buy you quality time with the family?
The answer is no miracle pill or some ultramodern neurosurgery. It’s laughter, the main "ingredient" of QTV Channel 11's newest morning show, "HaPinas."
Coined from the words happy and Pilipinas, the show attempts to provide every home a comedy break for at least 30 minutes a day with an archive of puns, riddles, one–liners, and clean and hilarious jokes delivered by ordinary everyday Pinoys.
The show offers a refreshing break from the regular morning programs that bring serious and often stressful usual news. It provides much needed laughs with its amusing segments: "Pa joke naman" cracks up the audience with jokes from people puton the spot by the "HaPinas" man on the street; "Just Kidding" features jokes from kids; "Say it Pinas" is a portion that seeks commoners’ take on familiar expressions. "HaPinas" also has an informative segment that features local places of interest.
Everybody needs a dose of laughter especially in today’s rather stressful times and the show readily brings it. "HaPinas" airs from Mondays through Fridays at 8:00 am on QTV 11.
