Hanover Square, London
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hanover Square, London, is a square in Mayfair, London W1, England, just to the south west of the junction of Oxford Street and Regent Street.
Hanover Square was developed in the early 18th century as a fashionable residential address, and was initially occupied mainly by Tory aristocrats. While a few of the 18th century houses remain largely intact, most of the square has been reconstructed in a variety of periods. It is now almost entirely occupied by offices, including the head office of Knight Frank and the London office of Vogue.
St George's Hanover Square is a short distance to the south of the square at the junction of St George Street and Maddox Street.
