Hanna Hartowicz

Hanna Hartowicz is a Polish-born graduate of the National Film School in Łódź who worked in famed director Andrzej Wajda's Film UNIT X in Poland.

FilmArt is a company founded by Hartowicz in 1999; based in NYC, it distributes, promotes, and produces films. The company screens and introduces Polish films to Polish, American and Polish-American audiences in the USA.

Hartowicz was also the festival director of the first annual New York Polish Film Festival, which opened to a nearly full house at the Manhattan Director's Guild Theater in May 2005.
