The Hands of Almalexia are the personal guards of the goddess Almalexia. They stand guard around her in the high chapel of Mournhold. After the Nerevarine was forced to kill an insane Almalexia, the Hands continued to stand at their posts in the temple. It is believed that the Hands were passed onto the only living god of the Tribunal, lord Vivec.

The Order consists of 5 members (6 before the death of Salas Valor.) Their weapons and armor bear fearsome divine enchantments and their training is kept secret. It is said that there are no more fearsome warriors in all of Tamriel than the Hands of Almalexia.
