Hands is taken from Jewel's second album Spirit, and was the first single released by Jewel that was not altered from the original album version released on the album. However a radio edit did surface for the commercial release. As with most artists, radio edits are issued when the label feels the song is running too long for radio airplay. The radio edit only cut the song short by a minute or less. A commercial single was never issued in the United States, and the singles that were issued internationally received the album version. The radio edit can be found on promos for the single of Hands.
