Dr. Hamid Reza Taherzadeh From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Dr.Hamid Reza Taherzadeh is one of the most distinguished talented Iranian musicians whose unique style of performance has been highly admired by great musicians of our time such as late Lord Yehudi Menuhin and many others.Born to an artistic family, he learned music under his father Maestro Yadollah Taherzadeh a great musicain, when he was only 5 years old. At the age of 20 he won the most prestigious academic prize in "Barbad Music Contest" in Iran and became the best tar player of the year. After 1979 revolution, he dedicated himself to the cause of freedom in Iran. He left the religious dictatorship in 1981 and never returned to his father land Iran. Instead he put all his energy and art to convey the cries of suffering Iranian artists. He has already performed more than 300 concerts across the world for peace and freedom in Iran. He has been actively cooperating with maestro Mohammad Shams one of the greatest Iranian composers of our time. Taherzadeh has performed solo on his tar with several symphonic orchestras in Europe and USA, too under the leadership of Shams. His brother late Maestro Manoochehr Taherzadeh one of the most prominent singers and composers in Iran, and a champion of humanity and dedication to Persian art music died in 2003 after several years of incarcerations and torture. Hamid is a human rights defender and music for him bears a divine humane value. He also has a tenure voice with a texture of Ustad Banaan style. He has already sung more than 100 songs for love, life, peace and freedom. He resides in Europe and works hard to promote the Persian art music. Taherzadeh besides his music academic education and professional training, has received a doctorate degree in Economics and Law, too.
