Hamlet A.D.D., directed by Bobby Ciraldo & Andrew Swant, is an independent feature film which re-imagines Shakespeare’s timeless play as a bizarre and comical tour through the ages.
[edit] Plot
Hamlet returns to Denmark when his father, the King, dies. His mother Gertrude has already married Hamlet's uncle Claudius, the new King. Soon the ghost of Hamlet's father appears and tells Hamlet that he was murdered by Claudius. Hamlet must choose between passive acquiescence and the need for revenge, which might lead to tragedy.
This version of Hamlet is a comedy shot entirely in front of a green screen and features live-action characters in an animated world. The story begins in 1602 and leaps chronologically through time to the present, then into the distant future.
