Hamish Tildesley
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hamish Tildesley (born August 23, 1988) is a former Canadian child actor from Vancouver, B.C.
He had a starring role in the 1997 movie "The Ex (film)", ostensibly a poor B-Movie which has since disappeared into the unknown. Also in 1997, Hamish played the character of Will in an episode of "The Outer Limits". Hamish was in the final stages of auditions for the blockbuster "The Sixth Sense" when he quit acting, saying he wanted to stay in one place to make friends (a task he had previously found difficult due to his work schedule and auditions).
Currently Hamish is completing high school at a prestigious boarding school in Hong Kong. Although he is still known to be awkward in social situations he has become renowned for his humour and musical talents as part of the "Hannah and Hamish" duo; a progressive duet who have become minor celebrities in Hong Kong for their natural and humorous songs which include Dr. Zoidberg, Slut Face and Bag of Lard Lady.
Hamish is currently working on various projects including the creation of a youth conference for young people in India and Pakistan and working with underprivileged children in Hong Kong. After graduating Hamish will return to the stage in an upcoming musical based upon the life of renowned educator and progressive thinker, Kurt Hahn. This production tentatively titled "Kurt Hahn: A Musical Life" is due to come to stage towards the end of 2007. As a musical duet Hannah and Hamish have yet to be offered a record deal, although they are currently part of the regular Saturday night bill at legendary Hong Kong club "Dusk til Dawn". In a recent statement Hamish announced that "Hannah and Hamish" would be releasing a selection of their songs on CD and over the internet to raise money for several charities based in Hong Kong.
