Hamilton, Nevada

Hamilton, Nevada is an abandoned mining town located in the White Pine Range of eastern Nevada, United States. The town was the first county seat of White Pine County, from 1869 to 1887, when a fire led to its replacement by the town of Ely. The community was named for W.A. Hamilton, a surveyor.
